Getting the right amp is very important for any musician.Here are some tips you must keep in mind while buying an amp.
1.Shortlist couple of brands.Go to their website do a thorough research and listen to their demos.GO to online forums and read about your choice of amp.Ask questions if any.
2.Go to the dealer ask for your amp.Try it out.Ask dealer for any suggestions on a different amp.When trying out make sure to keep the volume at a decent level preferably 5 so that you can hear the proper sound of it.
3.Another important thing to do is crank it up to find out if it jars or the sound is clean enough.Try out all the settings given.Its better not to buy an amp with inbuilt backing tracks.They are a waste.
4.Check for line out.It can be used in a live setting where you cant Mic your amp.On board reverb/delay is also a good option.
5.Try out brands like Randall,Marshall,Fender,Line6 etc.
